Effective X-ray burst from black gap ripples by means of galactic dust in new NASA impression

NASA has released a new image of ripples in dust clouds developed by an surprising black gap X-ray burst noticed in 2015.

The picture, a combination of observations taken by the NASA workhorse Chandra X-ray Observatory and the optical Pan-STARRS telescope in Hawaii, reveals blue concentric rings of dust all over the V404 Cygni black gap (the Chandra see) on the backdrop of encompassing stars (as witnessed by the Pan-STARRS telescope).
